Outreach We are a center for Christ-centered ministries and action. We will come to know the needs of the people of Rock Point School and contribute to meeting them. We will continue to support our outreach programs and foster partnerships in the community. Advocacy We are a center for the promotion of social justice. We will identify local networks and join with them. We will support and collaborate with the Diocese to expand and fulfill its social justice agenda. We will support and take an active role in the development and ministries of Vermont Interfaith Action and Burlington Ecumenical Action Ministry. We will develop programs within the Cathedral to raise awareness of social justice issues and develop an agenda for action, and respond to emerging challenges and opportunities. New Center Development We have been designated by the Episcopal Church as a Jubilee Center primarily for its work of Cathedral Square Corporation. We will create a St. Paul’s presence in the Old North End by establishing an additional Jubilee Center in the community for hospitality, spiritual formation, and service. Empowerment We will invest a portion of our endowment funds to enable our neighbors to have greater access to loans for education, housing, and small business development. Evangelism We will identify and develop programs open to and interesting to our neighbors, actively recruiting Old North End participants in Cathedral activities. We will develop an attractive and welcoming entrance on the Pearl Street side, with emphasis on increased visibility of the entrance, with signs of such increased visibility might include changeable banners, an enlarged vestibule at the Pearl Street entrance and a widened walkway.
